COVID-19 RESPONSE

COVID-19 Response Operation was launched in the very early days of the pandemic, aimed to formulate a coherent COVID-19 response for the community.The COVID-19 task force at the JCC worked closely with local authorities, Public Health England, the NHS, Hazola, hospitals, and other emergency groups, to ensure minimum fatalities and maximum recovery of COVID-19 patients.The JCC ensured that relevant information is made available to the community in Hebrew and Yiddish, as well as keeping the community informed with constant updates on restrictions and changes to COVID-19 regulations throughout lockdown.The JCC was also involved in spreading awareness of the importance to follow guidance like staying indoors etc, withan emphasis on encouraging the community to test regularly.

The JCC was also involved in spreading awareness of the importance to follow guidance like staying indoors etc, withan emphasis on encouraging the community to test regularly.The JCC was fully ready and equipped as soon as the Corona vaccine rollout began, we immediately worked with the local CCG to set up vaccination drives within the community, where we were able to vaccinate hundreds of people at our vaccination drives that were organized together and in conjunction with local health authorities, These vaccination drives were set up in the synagogues etc., which are frequented by large numbers of our community.Our COVID-19 support also included financial and food assistance to families struggling to cope with the pandemic, many of those families have lost loved ones and their livelihoods.
